The 10th Annual Patrick Solis Charity Golf Classic will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2008 at the private championship golf course at The Club at Olde Cypress.
This event is held in memory of Patrick Solis, an avid 31-year-old Special Olympics athlete who died of brain tumors on September 11, 1999.
The Tournament registration & breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. There will be a 9:00 AM shotgun start followed by a luncheon, awards and auction. Tournament fees are $125 per player or $500 for a foursome. Guest of golfers can attend the luncheon only at a cost of $25.
A "Hole-in-One" contest will give players the opportunity to take home a car. Prizes will also be awarded to the tournament's first and second place finalists in the men’s and women’s division. Special prizes will also be awarded for “Closest to Pin” and other contests.
P.B. Dye designed the 18-hole course, which includes three holes nestled in a nature preserve. The course at the Club at Olde Cypress was designed to highlight the bald cypress, pines and other natural vegetation that grows in the region.
